Bikesport supports, encourages, and offers various ways to cycle in and with our community.  

Weekly Group Meetups

The following is a list of bike ride meetups.  Please wear a helmet, carry water, a pump, spare tube, and have your bike in good working order.   Please ride carefully and respectfully.  Signing a waiver will be required.   Cancellations will be posted to each ride as needed.  Please check this site before you make your final plans to join a ride.

Every Sunday9 a.m.MTB Ride - meet at Knight Road parking lot, ready to ride at 9 a.m. All levels welcome, but a mountain bike in good working order is required, as well as helmet and water. Watch this space for updates, as we will not ride when trail conditions are poor. This is a great ride for beginners, as well as experienced riders. About 1 1/2 hours on the bike. Every Thursday5:00 PMEvening Trail Ride with Dinner - Join Perkiomen Trail Nightriders for a fun evening ride including dinner at Appalachian Brewing Co. or My Friend's Tavern. Head and Tail Lights required for this ride. Mountain or Hybrid bikes are best, and the pace is "comfortable". It's about the scenery, not the speed. This ride is 24 mi. round trip and returns to Oaks by 8 or 8:30 p.m. Note: Don't want to do the full 24 miles? Catch this ride as it passes the Collegeville Diner and meet up with it there! All proceeds benefit the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, which works with partners to build, maintain and promote the Schuylkill River Trail.
Sep 30, 2017Shoo-Fly ClassicOley, PATour the beautiful Oley Valley and enjoy one of the premier riding locations in the area. Long winding downhills, gently rolling farmland, a covered bridge, and historic landmarks: Oley Valley has got it all. Ride Options: 20, 40 and 60 miles or combine two for more options. Snack and drink is provided for registered riders at our start/finish area and at mid-ride refreshment. Support vehicles will patrol all routes offering assistance to riders if needed. Riders are provided with course maps and written directions and all routes are clearly marked. After the ride relax and feast from a broad selection of goodies, pizza and our signature gooey bite sized SHOO-FLY pies.

The MLAR Gran Fondo will start and finish at Pickering Meade Farm in Chester Springs, the 60-acre home to Main Line Animal Rescue. A fun event designed for all levels of riders (100K, 50K, 40K, 15K), 4 timed hill climbs, 3 well-stocked gourmet rest stops, Plus, fabulous afterparty: Conshohocken Brewing Company beer garden, upscale food and live music. Ride benefits FARA (Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance) a debilitating, life shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. Rides across our nation have raised over $2.5 million to help find a cure.

Make a day out of it! We will be setting up a grill outside to serve the beer garden and our Tastin' Room will also be offering its full menu. What better way to combine the Sly Fox community with the cycling community than with the madness that is cyclocross? An event that's both invigorating and exciting for the racer, and crazy fun for the spectator! A great family friendly day!
