Bikesport supports, encourages, and offers various ways to cycle in and with our community.  

Weekly Group Meetups

The following is a list of bike ride meetups.  Please wear a helmet, carry water, a pump, spare tube, and have your bike in good working order.   Please ride carefully and respectfully.  Signing a waiver will be required.   Cancellations will be posted to each ride as needed.  Please check this site before you make your final plans to join a ride.

Every Sunday9 a.m.MTB Ride - meet at Knight Road parking lot, ready to ride at 9 a.m. All levels welcome, but a mountain bike in good working order is required, as well as helmet and water. Watch this space for updates, as we will not ride when trail conditions are poor. This is a great ride for beginners, as well as experienced riders. About 1 1/2 hours on the bike. Every Thursday5:00 PMEvening Trail Ride with Dinner - Join Perkiomen Trail Nightriders for a fun evening ride including dinner at Appalachian Brewing Co. or My Friend's Tavern. Head and Tail Lights required for this ride. Mountain or Hybrid bikes are best, and the pace is "comfortable". It's about the scenery, not the speed. This ride is 24 mi. round trip and returns to Oaks by 8 or 8:30 p.m. Note: Don't want to do the full 24 miles? Catch this ride as it passes the Collegeville Diner and meet up with it there! Every Wednesday10:00 AMSchuylkill River Trail Ride for the 50+ Rider. Meet in parking lot at Port Providence Trailhead. Bike 1-2 hrs/ 10-20 miles (depending on group) on SRT and/or Perkioment Trail with Kathy Tauber, Phoenixville resident and SRT Trail Ambassador (610-935-7075). Lunch after is an option. Every Friday 10:00 AMPerkiomen and Schuylkill River Ride for the 50+ Rider. Meet in parking lot behind Collegeville Diner(Main & 3rd). Mar 18, 2018Monkey Knife FightEmmaus, PACelebrating the toughest, gnarliest, steepest, brutalest, ridiculousest roads in our neck of the woods and raising money to benefit the Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer, Monkey Knife Fight returns on Saturday, April 14th. Come and "enjoy" a 65-mile bike ride through the dirty hills south of Emmaus, PA. Includes 15 miles of dirt roads and 6,500' of climbing, seven climbs are the most brutal stretches of misery you'll ever look up at.
Apr 7, 2018Fools Classic Point Pleasant, PABucks County's tribute to the Ronde van Vlaanderen, the Fools Classic is an original event, and one of the oldest Spring Classic themed events in the US. It is 78 miles long, features 5900' of climbing, and 27 unpaved sectors on a very scenic course. Finishers are treated to post ride hospitality at the Pt. Pleasant Fire Co.

Apr 27, 2018Face of America RideArlington, VA or Valley Forge, PAChoice of two routes: ride from Valley Forge to Gettysburg, 120-mi one-way, or ride the classic route from the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, to Gettysburg, PA, 110-mi one-way. Ride with servicemen who have been severely injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Apr 28, 2018Fleche BuffoonNew Hope, PAA “Spring Classic” for those of you who don’t particularly like riding on dirt roads. The Fleche Buffoon is a tribute to the Ardennes Classics (Fleche Wallonne, Amstel Gold Race & the oldest of the classics, Liege-Bastogne-Liege). It is a circa 75 mile hilly ride through the Bucks County, PA & Hunterdon County, NJ countryside. The challenging course features 14 steep climbs over its route. Along the way there will be miles of country roads, scenic farmland and quaint river towns. In true Amstel fashion, there will even be an authentic Dutch windmill along the course (in Holland Township nonetheless). According to Ride with GPS, the course has 6100' of total elevation gain. Again, this course is entirely paved, no dirt, unlike the other Spring Classics, the Hell of Hunterdon, the Fools Classic, and the Sourland Semi-Classic.

May 4, 2018Spring-n2-Cycling WeekendDanville, PAAll-inclusive, 3-day tour package along the Susquehanna River. Danville lies between the charming college towns of Bloomsburg and Lewisburg. Cycle along the peaceful countryside with green landscapes and covered bridges. There is mostly rolling terrain with some challenging climbs as well as flat roads along the river. We offer a wide variety of riding distances from 15 to 65+ miles.

The 21-mi route avoids the longest climb and is suitable for casual riders. The longer routes are on rolling to hilly terrain. Aug 19, 2018Lancaster Covered Bridge ClassicLancaster, PAThe Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic (formerly the Covered Bridge Metric Century) is a classic Pennsylvania ride now in its 40th year. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 65 miles, 33 miles, and 16 miles, covering some of the most scenic cycling terrain anywhere. Each route traverses through covered bridges and past Amish farms. The routes all cover rolling terrain with only moderate climbing with the exception of 100 mile route. The 100 mile option is a challenging ride that includes a hilly 38 mile loop that starts and ends at the lunch rest stop in Stevens, PA. There are no official rest stops on the 38 mile loop, so please stock up at the lunch stop. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Lancaster Bicycle Club’s grant program. Over $286,000 has been donated for covered bridge restoration and bike-related initiatives since 1999.
