Bikesport supports, encourages, and offers various ways to cycle in and with our community.  

Weekly Group Meetups

The following is a list of bike ride meetups. Please wear a helmet, carry water, a pump, spare tube, and have your bike in good working order. Please ride carefully and respectfully. Signing a waiver will be required. Cancellations will be posted to each ride as needed. Please check this site before you make your final plans to join a ride.

MTB Ride - meet at Knight Road parking lot, ready to ride at 9 a.m. All levels welcome, but a mountain bike in good working order is required, as well as helmet and water. Watch this space for updates, as we will not ride when trail conditions are poor. This is a great ride for beginners, as well as experienced riders. About 1 1/2 hours on the bike. Evening Trail Ride with Dinner - Join Perkiomen Trail Nightriders for a fun evening ride including dinner at Appalachian Brewing Co. or My Friend's Tavern. Head and Tail Lights required for this ride. Mountain or Hybrid bikes are best, and the pace is "comfortable". It's about the scenery, not the speed. This ride is 24 mi. round trip and returns to Oaks by 8 or 8:30 p.m. Note: Don't want to do the full 24 miles? Catch this ride as it passes the Collegeville Diner and meet up with it there! Multi-surface Ride. Gravel or cross bikes are recommended. Terrain will be pavement, gravel & trail. Rear blinky light recommended. Expect 15 m.p.h. average on road sections, 13 m.p.h. on gravel sections and 10 m.p.h. on trail sections depending on conditions. Coffee & Cross ride NEW TIME! Prompt 7am rollout from Soltane coffee shop ( 138 Bridge St Phoenixville), finished by roughly 8:30. Spirited intermediate pace, but the terrain will not be beginner friendly so experienced bike handling skills are necessary. Lots of double track with gravel, dirt, rocks and roots. Some pavement and grass as well. This ride will swing by the start location at the hour mark for those on a tight schedule. Ride Leader: Briana. Can be reached at briheint@gmail.com. Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic

Lancaster, PA

The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic (formerly the Covered Bridge Metric Century) is a classic Pennsylvania ride now in its 40th year. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 65 miles, 33 miles, and 16 miles, covering some of the most scenic cycling terrain anywhere. Each route traverses through covered bridges and past Amish farms. The routes all cover rolling terrain with only moderate climbing with the exception of 100 mile route. The 100 mile option is a challenging ride that includes a hilly 38 mile loop that starts and ends at the lunch rest stop in Stevens, PA. There are no official rest stops on the 38 mile loop, so please stock up at the lunch stop. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Lancaster Bicycle Club’s grant program. Over $286,000 has been donated for covered bridge restoration and bike-related initiatives since 1999.

Enjoy flat terrain as you travel through the quaint towns and back roads of Southern New Jersey. Pedal through the blueberry fields of Hammonton, experience the serene beauty of the Pine Barrens and listen to the waves as you roll into historic Ocean City. This ride is fully supported with catered rest stops, bike support and SAG transportation. Invite your family and friends to cheer as you cross the finish line and enjoy a wonderful evening stroll on the boardwalk.

Ride for the River

Take a 16 or 40-mile ride along the Schuylkill River Trail from Pottstown to Reading, beginning and ending at Sly Fox Can Jam festival where riders can enjoy eight hours of free live music. All proceeds benefit the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, which works with partners to build, maintain and promote the Schuylkill River Trail.

Ride benefits FARA (Friedrich's Ataxia Research Alliance) a debilitating, life shortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. Rides across our nation have raised over $2.5 million to help find a cure.
