Hybrid and Comfort

We are fortunate enough to be located just a mile from the Perkiomen Trail.  The trail has allowed many of our customers to comfortably get back into biking.  It has enabled biking to truly be a family activity.  At Bikesport, we are more than happy to assist you in your path riding needs.

For recreational cycling, you can chose between a Fitness, Hybrid, or Comfort bike.  Although there are big differences between the three, they are all great for recreational or family riding.

The following are a few featured Hybrid models from Trek:

7.5fx (Fitness)

The FX series is the hybrid closest to a road bike.  They have skinny tires and are light weight, but they don't have drop handlebars.  The straight handlebars provide a more comfortable, upright riding position.  Although they are comfortable bikes, though, they provide more of a workout than a standard hybrid or comfort bike.
The 7.5fx has a carbon fork, a hydroformed aluminum frame, and it is available with disc brakes or a WSD frame.

7300 (Hybrid)

The 7000's are the true hybrid series.  The tires are knobby and slim, but not too narrow.  They handle paved and coarse surfaces.  There are shocks to smoothen the ride, and you are seated upright.
The 7300 (which also comes in a WSD frame) has an aluminum frame and fork.  The handlebars, saddle, and components are all built for a smooth, comfortable ride.  The tires allow you to gain some speed while riding at a comfortable level.

Navigator 3.0 WSD (Comfort)

The Navigators are built truly for comfort with shocks on the fork and seatpost and wide, grounded tires.
The Navigator 3.0 has an advanced shock system compared to the 2.0.  It also has Bontrager rims and a Shimano crank.  The WSD model for hybrid bikes is also called a "step-through" frame, which doesn't require you to swing your leg up over the frame.
